One year ago today, this whole crazy Fake Criterions thing started with this post.
Thank you to everyone for reading, reblogging, forwarding, Twittering and linking to the site. It’s been a lot of fun and it wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for all of you, especially those who have been making some of these really fun covers over the last year. Also, thanks to the real Criterion Collection- folks wouldn’t have gone for this site if it weren’t for their amazing film preservation work and graphic design to inspire it.
Anyway, here’s to the next year of these, which I think calls for a toast-
